Ohio Needs MHFA: Advocate to Bring It Back!
The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health has removed MHFA training from its budget, ending five years of vital support.
Why It Matters
The demand is still growing even after 38,000 people have been trained.
- Our teen programs are at full capacity
- More than 80 organizations are on a waiting list to receive training
- We currently have funding for only 15 of Ohio’s 88 counties
What’s at Risk
We lose momentum in building a statewide network of trained mental health responders who know what to say and do when someone is struggling.
